STM told me not to go SD if you are under 600hp
I'm not sure why they would tell you that, unless they are just using the 600hp figure to denote a car that is street-driven vs. one that only sees track duty.
The only functional differences between SD and a MAF setup are in the way that corrections are made to the reported airflow. Once everything is properly calibrated , tuning is tuning... changes to boost, AFR, and timing in search of more performance works the same way, regardless if you are using a MAF, SD, or two squirrels with a soup can to get airflow numbers for the ECU to work with.
