STM told me not to go SD if you are under 600hp

I'm not sure why they would tell you that, unless they are just using the 600hp figure to denote a car that is street-driven vs. one that only sees track duty.

The only functional differences between SD and a MAF setup are in the way that corrections are made to the reported airflow. Once everything is properly calibrated , tuning is tuning... changes to boost, AFR, and timing in search of more performance works the same way, regardless if you are using a MAF, SD, or two squirrels with a soup can to get airflow numbers for the ECU to work with.

I think i will still stick with my maf, maybe even go with a 3g maf. Have you checked out my last log? Thats the most timing i can get without knock. 1 more degree and i get 2.5 to 4 degrees retard.

This is the oldest log I can find from about 2.5 years ago. I was running 50% E-85 back then but close to your boost level. 7blade HX35, FP mani, .55 BEP housing. I was still running V2.

I must have switched to blending 50% E-85 before I switched from my 18g to the Holset. I know I was running about 26-28 psi on my 18g and getting 18* timing on pump. About 40-42lb/min from what I remember. The tune isn't really the best, but my 70-90 times are good :D IDK if it helps at all...

So I was making an idle log today after watching ecmlink video again for the 30 th time and I realized I have made a dumb mistake. I dont think its causing my knock, but anyways I mistaked airflow per rev with load factor. So i adjusted all my deadtime and airflow sliders to make loadfactor @ .25. I was going through displayed values and seen airflowperrev, so i displayed: it and im idling at .19g/s. So looks like I have to restart all over again. I guess sometimes you need to slow down and double check everything. I'm thinking my knock problem is my knocksensor because i turned off my knock settings to <0% throttle and >500rpm and i have all kinds of knock while cruising, like 12* retard. So I ordered a new napa one. Engine does not make anynoise either (no lifter tick). Hopefully its gets here soon.

So i lowered boost to 18-19lbs and did a few pulls, played with airflow and timing a bit, and this was my final outcome to which i am pleased with so far. 70-90 time is around 3 secs but im fine with that for now because im 10psi lower than other logs and im around the same airflow. my quickest 70-90 was 2.5 or at 27-30 psi. I think ill lean it out a bit then start adding some boost and hope mt WI kit gets here soon. let me know how its looking.

That log looks pretty good. Lean out the DA table (I'd start at about 10.8:1 on pump gas) and see what you can do with it. ;)

And...

BTW - Please rename your wideband to "Wideband", and the map sensor to "MAP". It makes it much easier to review logs if we are all standardized somewhat.

It would also help to set the min and max properties of certain items to specific values, per this article. I recommend the following:

Wideband & AFRatioEst: Min = -4.7, Max = 21.2
WBFactor: Min = -120, Max = 40
CombinedFT: Min = -40, Max = 40
MAP & BoostEst: Min = -20, Max = 60
Timing: Min = -10, Max = 50
InjDuty: Min = 0, Max = 100
Knock: Min = 0, Max = 16
LoadFactor: Min = 0, Max = 4
RPM: Min = 0, Max = 8000
