3G Windshield Wiper Nozzles for 2g's

First of all I am not 100% sure where this type of thread belongs... so here in the exterior forum sounds alright.

Anyway, my windshield washer fluid squirters suck... other cars I've driven spray a nice wide, even spray over the windshield, but mine usually just squirt 2 or 3 dinky jets, not wide sprays, onto the windshield and I don't get very good cleaning with it. And lately within the past couple weeks the passenger side has been completely blocked by something and the driver's side shoots one powerful jet stream to the top of the window that still doesn't help much.

So I'm thinking about getting new squirters, but before I looked into buying some, I figured I'd see how they are installed. I took a look today and there is a cross member on the under-side of the hood covering them, and they don't just pop off. So how do you take the old ones out and install new ones? Has anyone else replaced theirs?

Cool thanks a lot man!

The tech article describes exactly the problem I'm having, and it sounds like a simple fix. I'll check it out more tomorrow.

I did the 3g Squirter upgrade and does it work so much nicer now, takes under 5 min to swap them out. Just get a small flat head screwdriver with a cloth on the tip and slowly edge it under the squirter to pop it out

I ordered my 3g squirters from the dealership and they should be in today actually. LOL and just for fun for the past two days I took the driver's side squirter and flipped it 90 degrees to face forward, connected the main line directly to it, and since only one of it's squirters actually sprays I have a super strong jet of water I can spray out the front of my car! hahaha I can spray a good 15 feet in front of my car... hilarious if you're about to pick a friend/girlfriend up and you spray as they walk in front of the car.

Anyway, I'll be getting my new ones today.

LOL i called a local mitsu dealer they quoted me $16 PER nozzle. I laughed and hung up.

ya i just ordered a set off jnztuning ..it was like $4 something per nozzle. :D

Well I got mine and installed them. Very nice wide spray now, but half the fluid sprays over the roof... I removed, reinstalled, and double checked them like 3 or 4 times to make sure they were fully pushed down into place and popped in, but always the same problem.

Have any of you using these 3g nozzles run into this issue? Is there any way to point them down some?

^ ^ ^ Yeah, look at them closely, they should have hollow spheres that actually emit the stream, and they should be movable. Use a thin paper clip wire or the like to aim them.

Just did this "swap" today. They work great, my crappy 1995 sprayers took a crap on me a few weeks ago. Got a set of 3g ones off ebay for $18. Much better then a universal set which is a PITA to install.

I installed one from a Honda Odyssey from work. Sprays just fine and with a more atomized pattern. And the color is almost a match for my Spyder. Will get better ones eventually, but it'll work for now.

It's the one on the driver side.
