rborgia said:I own a 3G as well as a GSX... I recently removed my Supercharger from the 3G. I honestly feel it is a waste of money putting FI on the 3G. Granted the car does move... in fact currently there are four cars below 12sec - 1/4 miles and just over 400 WHP.
I did the works on my 3G engine:
Ported & Polished Heads.
Port matching
Honing
Blue Printing and Balancing
Forged Rods
Forged Pistons
Changed intake Plenum
310cc Injectors
RIPP Methenol / Water injection
Vortech V5G Super charger
RIPP Stage 3 Clutch
Lightened ALuminum flywheel
Fidanza Adj. Cam Gears
RIPP 2.5" Headers
HKS Exhaust
Ripp Grey Box (Fuel Computer and much more!)
The Charger system is called the RIPP SDS.
I wasn't happy in the end and I spent (Lost) lots of money. The ECU is constantly fighting any changes you make. In fact it re adjusts for timing changes, and hates added fuel computers. You can bet on rough idles, stalls, belt slipping, and lots od SES lights. But the car is a monster at that point. If you can live with the problems.
All work was done by Ripp Modifications. http://www.rippmods.com , they are in Staten Island, New York.
If you want to find out more check out this board: http://www.club3g.com, this is completely decdicated to the 3G.
There is a group of peopl in Florida that has had a bunch of success with the 3G and Turbos SO look around.

I have a 2g, and I'm used to working on those. So basically I would just be getting him parts and he would be installing them himself. But I need to piece together a nice kit.
