I will be going to a larger turbo soon and want to upgrade from the EVO O2 housing. I can't seem to find anyone that makes one to replace the stock one? I have found one that is basically the whole DP and has a V-band on the other end, which won't work for me.

Other option is to find a blank Flange and make my own, does anyone sell a blank one with no holes in it yet?

thanx

He's laughing at my because I'm retarded and didn't get your post LOL There are plenty of 3" o2 housings out there. Check out punishment-racing.com for a host of great products. I know there are several others that will be able to supply you with one as well.

Ive been looking but I cant find any. There was a company called RNR Racing that made one but they are gone now. You could always call up Punishment Racing or another company that might possibly take on the task of making one for you. What turbo are you upgrading to? You dont think the EvoIII o2 housing will be enough?

You can take a gasket and a piece of stock (whatever you would build the exhaust out of) to a machine shop and have them cut you a flange.

I will be goin to a HX40 Pro, the exducer on the turbine side is 2.75" and the EVO O2 is only 2.5" inside.
Kinda want to be atleast the same size, we'll see what i can find. I'm looking into the ATR ones next.

You ever think about porting out your EvoIII o2 housing.

Well one less option now. ATR has gone out of buisness.

Thats what I thought. I was searching and I couldnt find anything about them or their products besides on forums

My EVO O2 housing is already ported, Can only go so far on it.

Your right, but going from a what, 2.75" o2 housing to a 3" housing will gain you nothing. Theres been quite a few cars lay down over 700whp on simple 2.5" o2 housings.

You'd be better off spending your money on something like an electric exhaust cutout that you could open up on demand. There you actually would see some improvement.

I had the same problem and i got the punishment-racing 3 inch O2 that go's under the car. Only one i found that i liked.

ATR has gone out of business. I purchased mine when the owner of Alamo Motorsports was parting his 2G. I got the o2 and dp for $175 shipped off of EBay. The quality is quite impressive. The only complaint I have as it uses a 3 bolt flange from the 02 to the dp and I've smashed my thumb several times against the block tightening down the back bolt.

Correct. Any turbo that bolts up to an EVO3 o2, will never outflow it..:nono:

I don't agree with the attitude. But I do agree that a 2 3/4" sudden step down to 2 1/2" is detrimental to flow. Because of the air eddies, that 2 1/2" opening results in less than 2 1/2" flow potential.

I don't agree either, since the exducer on the turbine wheel is 2.75". How would a ported EVO O2 housing that isn't even that big on some spots be good enough? This isn't a EVO 3 turbo were working on here, it's a hx40 6 BLADE which is already pushing the limits of the (bolt-on) housing.

So get a T3 housing and a T3 4 or 5 bolt o2 housing. :thumb: or have someone custom fab you one.

Reason being is he might not want to have a slower spooling hx40 (better up top though) I know i don't. I'm also looking for a 3 inch o2 housing for my billet hx40. I might just have to contact Punishment and see what they say I wouldn't mind a pie cut o2 housing as long as it's 3 inch.
