Sorry, I am sure it is a stupid question, Just wondering if I do go with the cat eliminating dp if I will have to worry about cel's. If it will throw a cel what can I do about it? Thanks guys. Another thing, if I go with just a 3" dp will I notice a large difference in accelration or any difference in gas milage? Thanks again guys

Most likely you will get a CEL if you run no cat on your car. The check engine light will not cause you car to run differently. Their is a way of getting rid of it using resistors. I think their is a write up on it at VFAQ.com

When I bought my CAT delete dp I also bought a CEL fix for it. It's just like an extra bung for the O2 sensor with a small hole in the end so it still warms up and gets a small amount of air. I've had it for over a month with no CEL yet. Before I put it on I would throw one atleast a few times a week which was just annoying. Best 5 bucks I ever spent. Check out Logic Performace if ya want one or I guess you could make one too, but it's only 5 bucks.

Hey where is that part @ logicperformance? I've looked under maintenance, and exhaust but can't seem to find it. I gotta be blind. It is 9:30 in the morning sorry :coy:

I've been running my car w/o a cat for over 2 years and the only CEL I've ever thrown was from the ISC.

Wll not having a cat hurt my performance or my gas milage at all?
haha, freeing up a restrictive exhaust flow path on a turbocharged car will help performance, not hurt it. And gas millage all depends on driving style and the condition of the engine, but a general rule of thumb is as engine modifications increase (especially fuel mods), gas millage usually decreases. If you want your car to be faster, then it's going to use more air and more fuel. Take that as you will. :dsm:

A way to trick the sensor is by putting a bolt in the downpipe's o2 sensor hole then just wrap the sensor with foil and clamp it on the side of the pipe.
