3-4g's Eclipse and the EVO's

Ok so how many of you guys or ladies feel that Mitsubishi has failed at making the Eclipse what we have come to enjoy and love so much. It's an awesome sports car. I feel that by taking away the AWD option on the Eclipse they Killed the reason why so many people buy the eclipse along with the turbo option. Now the Lancer, they are great cars but are weren't they built off of the eclipse legacy didnt they have 4g63 engine? (i hope thats right)i feel that they let the eclipse fall by the way side, and built up the lancer that took all the light away from the eclipse. When some one thinks of a mitsubishi car that is fast they think LANCER or Evo. Kind of makes me upset. So my qeustion is how many of you are disappointed in the newer eclipse (3g and 4g) and explain why. If you like the new Lancer or Eclipse explain why. I hope to hear alot of oppinions..

No they don't think LANCER, they think Evo or for those that know a bit more they think gst/x tsi (awd). But they certainly don't think 2g 420a so if you're saying someone should think your car is fast before they think evo well then the answer is no.

I often wonder why Mitsu works against themselves. I mean all throught the 90's they made these awesome fuel saving turbo 2.0 liters......all this back when gas was 99 cents a gallon.

Now that it is 2009 and gas is $3.00 a gallon Mitsu decides to make a 3.8 liter v6 hahahaha WTF?? Good Idea RETARDS.

Now would be the time to have a Nice Turbo 4b11 option in the eclipse.

Also, isn't the Genesis coming with a v6(not sure of the liter) and a turbo 4cylinder. I don't think there will be a V8, at least not what modified mag, and import tuner are telling me.

Thanks for making me realize i did murder english you try working a 8-5 an going to school till 11pm you would be making all kinds of mistakes as well. But back to the topic the Lancer Evo is from what i've heard the fastest car mitsu has. i agree with you CS that they don't know exactly what they are talking about, i too think of GSX/ GST or TSI but it jus tweaks my nerves to know that the eclipse with all of it's glory has faded to a fwd with no turbo, wack body line style almost no options on the car and whats worse is it is taking a back seat to the car it gave birth to so to speak. (talking about the engine correct me if im wrong) Agian i would never say my 420a is fast i enjoy it an love to say it's quick and nimble but not fast. So my DSM I wouldn't consider to be the fastest though it has the brand name eclipse it should be the top of the line sports car for mitsu does anyone agree?
Also look at the 3g what happend there why aren't ppl really searching for those body styles? only the 1g an 2g are really sought after.

Ok honestly what is the problem with having a 420a it seems everyone keeps mentioning it like there is a problem with having a non-turbo! I understand the MPG and the economy is bad but i posted this to express my oppinion of what i thought mitsu was doing wrong and yes the shift or lime light from the eclipse has turned to the lancer evo which i feel they (mistu) has left the eclipse enthusaist out in the rain with a car that is not turbo or has the option of being turbo an just a fwd car coming from a rwd car to a fwd it was challenge but i enjoy my 420a like i said before but to have the option on the 3 or 4g eclipse would be great as well

i dont think anyone is hating on the 420a. i believe what there getting at is the irony in the fact hes pointing out the new ecdlipses have no turbo options. i to would like to see a turbo awd eclipse but not in any of the current body styles. i believe the fact is it all comes down to the bean counters at mitsu. thats why they brought the evo to use it was already a proven platform. also the eclipse did not have anything to do with the evo being coming around, the evo has been around almost as long as the eclipse.
