Hey everyone, my friend has a 95 gs n/t. he have gsx calipers on the car now.

he has evo calipers for all 4, evo rotors, goodridge brake lines, vr4 knuckles for the front. is there anything else i should get to complete the swap or maintainance to do. the car has 56k miles.

my friend said he needs a master cylinder from a gsx because the brake pedal might be soft and may need abs sensor. is this true

any help will be appeciated. thanks

No it's not true about the master cylinder and ABS sensor. I think it would be good to upgrade to the GSX master cylinder, but it's not mandatory, I still haven't. My factory ABS sensor fit right into my new knuckles without a problem.
You do need Evo caliper bolts and washers. But you don't need them if you are using an aftermarket Evo big brake kit like I did. I spent the money on new OEM bolts to find out I had no use for them. So for reference, don't make that mistake.

thanks a lot, i appeciate the answer. i will take pictures of the process and the outcome

You don't need the abs sensors if your car doesn't have abs to begin with. As far as i know the RS didn't come with factory abs.

I don't have dust shields on mine. I haven't run into any problems yet.

the only purpose of the dust sheilds is what they say, they protect the wheels from brake dust so if you dont mind cleaning your wheels more often or just get low asbestos pads youll be fine but its really up to you

The content of asbestos does not necessarily affect the level of brake dust.

OP did your friend ever do this? id love to take the full setup off his hands LOL epecially if its gonna go to waste on a n/t that wont see any serious modifying LOL no offense
