Guys, i know there is a boat load of Evo/brake threads out there, so many in fact that i decided i would let a moderator decide if he wants to merge this thread to any other that may better relate.

So here is my question, i purchased rear Brembo Evo 8 calipers from a member on here, came complete with everything but i think i may be missing something, and they are now getting coated.

My question is, what are these little brackets, what is their function? Do i need them, and if so were do I find them, and what is their part number?

Thanks, the part i am talking about is visible on 0:16 and 2:56 of this video.

Yes you need them or your pads wont fit right.

"Shims go between the pad and the caliper to help eliminate squeal (brake squeal is caused by the pad vibrating on the caliper). The shims help stop or absorb the vibration"

PN:MR493188 (rear)
PN:MR475618 (front)

AWD sells a rear set and front set.

You might be able to get them a little cheeper if you plug in the part numbers at
www.mitsubishiparts.net

Dude, your awesome !!that is a perfect answer.:rocks:
i also, dont have the small bolt, that appears to hold the "shims" in place. Do they come with the shims?

Your right, cheaper from
Mitsubishi parts.net,
Fronts are 21.00. Rears are 8.00
vs.
Awd motors.
Front 50.00 and Rears 20.00 from

The op is not talking about the pad shims at all. Watch the video at the times in question. I suspect he's talking about those little guides of the pads. I can't remember the names of those things, but yes you need them. I have no idea if they can be ordered separately though, nor if they would come with the screw/bolt that holds them in place.
