2Gb **Talon** aftermarket front bumper cover

I searched for a while to find aftermarket, FMIC-compatible, Talon-style front bumper covers, but **everything** was an eclipse cover. I placed my factory order in October, 1996 for my Talon rather than an eclipse, because I liked the look of the Talon much better, and I still prefer that look.

My front bumper cover was damaged, and I'd like to replace it with an aftermarket 2Gb Talon-esque cover designed for an FMIC - Gawd, the front bumper cover for a Talon is sooo nice - anyone could tweak it a bit to make a really aggressive aftermarket part.

Anyone know of a place where I can find aftermarket ***Talon*** bumper covers designed for an FMIC? The 95-99 Talon emblem triangle imprint (in which to place the 2Gb Talon logo) in the cover would be prefferable.

I installed a fmic on my friends 98 talon and you don't have to cut much off for it to fit. If you like later I'll try to post a pic. The core was 18x7x3 if that helps and you can find a aftermarket bumper cover at www.squidskins.com btw the prices are can. dollar so you have to convert it to u.s. dollar

Got mine off e-bay used, pretty decent shape. It might be the only reasonabily priced way to go with it. I wish they made aftermarket bumpercovers for it. I surely would have done that instead, it ended up costing me under 280.00. You might check the classified adds, seems someone online here is always converting a Talon to a Eclipse. Might pick one up that way. Good luck.

Thanks for the responses. If I can't find an aftermarket unit, I'll just get a new (or used but like new) cover. I'd like to have a taller opening in the center to get more airflow to the FMIC, but it's looking like that's not an option.

Make my own? Not likely, as I've never done any fiberglass work.

That's pretty sweet. The bottom half looks like the stock cover, but the top is different (no inverted triangular depression for the Eagle logo). Any idea how he did it?

looks like a used 2gb upper center section and 2gb talon bumper hacked to hell and back, then glued/glassed/plastic welded together.

I have no clue how he did it, but its awesome nonetheless. I believe its an ancient chinese secret. Though seriously, he said he didn't wanna be copied and I understand and respect that. But it does give you an idea just exactly what is able to be done with this bumper. Maybe it will give you some idea's.
