I have it outlined in red. I was just wondering if anyone had cut that piece off completely. Particularly those with fmics.

You can cut it, but I wouldnt. I think it would look like crap without it there, only cut off as much as you need to.

I agree w/Red on that. It frames in the FMIC and what's the point of removing it in the first place?

Howie~

Why not just cut it so that it fits flush against the FMIC? It would provide minor ducting benefits. If you cut away too much it gives air a way to flow around your fmic instead of through it.

Can someone please speak from experience besides IheartmyHonda

I cut that piece, not by a whole lot but definitely has space between my bumper and FMIC and it doesn't flop at all.

I had to trim mine just a tad. If you notice in this pic the middle of my bumper is buckled a bit in the middle. Trimming it helped the bumper move back where it needed to be thus eliminating the sides being stretched ever so slightly causing the buckle.

I cut it on mine too but i think it´s better to keep it because it serves a duct to help direct the air through the fmic and radiator and not around it.

Mine's cut, bumper doesn't flop, but I agree with the others that say don't cut it if you can help it as it should improve the airflow through the fmic/radiator.
