Hello everyone, I had a quick question that wasn't totally answered while searching around. The question is on our intermediate shafts (the shaft portion itself, not the carrier bearing or bearing bracket).
Are there any differences between the 2ga and 2gb shafts? The length is the same, but I'm unsure about the diameter.
I have a 98 GSX with a 2ga 7 bolt and AC bracket in it. I took the 2gb intermediate shaft out due to a shot bearing and it was only bolted on with one bolt (cause the differences in the bearing bracket). I have a known good intermediate shaft from a 2ga to install, just not sure if there are any known differences.
I will keep this updated as I move forward.
Thanks.
EDIT: This is for an AUTO car. Both intermediate shafts are for auto trannys. The 5 speed shafts are shorter than the autos.
