Here's what I recently upgraded on my car:

hks bov
new auto tranny
external gate
vc with -10an fittings
new catchcan
afpr
dsmlink v.3
new alternator
new fuel rail

Before I did all this, my car would start fine. Now, when I first tried to crank it over, it does nothing. All the lights on the dash come on, the fuel pump turns on, link hooks-up, but I can't get the damn thing to turn over. I've ran a wire straight to the starter and it turns on, but I can't get anything from the ignition. Where should I start? I didn't do any re-wiring, except to lengthen some wires for some sensors and my meth pump (nothing going to the starter though).

I want to drive the thing again! Thanks

Check the wires going to your starter. Grounds. Seems like you got a ground issue. Battery terminals

I checked my grounds for my battery (grounds to the tranny) and the starter is grounding to the engine fine, I just don't know what else it oculd be? I didn't jump-start my car or anyhing to make a fuse go out.

I did some researching today. I tested the my battery, good voltage. Then I tested my wires to make sure they were connected to the starter, they're good. I then checked to make sure the starter was getting the same amount of voltage from my battery as my battery originally had, tested good. Then, I checked my grounds on my battery and my starter, both good.

Another thing I found was when I turned my car over, the little clip on top of the starter is only getting .04 volts when I try and crank the motor over. Is this enough? If not, where does that wire go to from the starter? I tried to follow it, but I loose it.

Any other ideas?

i would say its a loose connection even though u checked it. when u turn the key theres current going through the wire so it would lose connection. just make sure everything is tight.

P.S. if its finger tight that no were good enough

did you plug all the plugs in on the tranny?

they all have to be pluged in or it will not start.

There is one plus on there that when it is not connected it will not start nor turn over. We had this problem when we did the 5spd swap. With it unplugged it makes the ECU think its in a gear other then P or N. Hope this helps-<Matt>

I figued it out, the shifter lever in the engine bay was off a little bit from wires holding it so it couldn't go into park all the way. I had a feeling that something electrical could not go bad from just sitting. I feel stupid it was something so easy, but happy at the same time. Thanks for everyones help!
