I have a 97 gst an just installed subs yesterday an everything was working great last night an then this morning it will not turn over. I have power to all my windows, alarm, lights, ect but the car will not turn over. I'm getting some clicking from the dash but seems to be passenger side. It did snow last night but it started 2 days ago when it snowed. I will be checking the fuses an battery voltage when I get back home. Anyone have any ideas why it wouldn't even crack with jumper cables. I'm at a loss right now with this thing. PO sucked at life an tore this car up so I have been putting it back together as best as possible but I'm getting frustrated. Any ideas or where else I should look?

The amp and the capacitor have seperate grounds points in the trunk that are down to bare metal via sand paper and I didn't touch the engine grounds at all. Just ran a power wire, remote and rcas to trunk. Shouldn't effect the engine but I will double check when the snow melts. Is this a common problem in cold weather?

As Rob said, if a battery is dead enough even a jump wont bring it back. It seems like you might have something that remains on after the install that is leeching the power out of the battery. If that's the case go over the wiring for the system or be prepared to disconnect the battery every time you shut off the car.

You do have a remote wire for your system don't you? If not you could put a fuse in your supply wire (from battery to amp) and just pull it out when you turn off the car. Have you checked your battery's cells? You can also take your battery to a auto parts store and have them check it.

So after having my electrician buddy come over it came down to a two part problem. The PO did a shity alarm install and I had a bad positive connection on the battery LOL. So needless to say its all fixed an running good again... Glad it was something simple!
