Resolved 2G What is this Cylinder on 5-speed GSX?

Can anyone identify this?
Can it be removed and not cause issues?

It is connected to the slave cylinder and sits on the front of the transmission. I want to replace the clutch lines because they are leaking badly and I now have no clutch pedal. Clutch lines are seized with rust.

I found out what it was... I think.
Clutch Accumulator?
To reduce pedal vibration?
Another extra over engineered item?

Yes, clutch accumulator. It can be removed.

I've always removed the accumulator and never felt any difference in pedal feel. You should be fine.

We always removed them. Supposedly without it you can feel more in the clutch peddle.
