Quick question for anyone out there who can answer it. I have a 98gst, looking to but rotors, does it matter that i dont have ABS? Some sights offer the rotors for dsms with and without abs, any thoughts on this? Any suggestions on brands of SS brake lines?

i'm not a %100 sure..

but i thought it's only the CALIPERS that differ between ABS and non ABS cars... unless they make totally diff sized brakes for the ABS and non ABS cars.. with diff rotors calipers and shoes..

If you have a non ABS 2G, I would stick with the non ABS rotors. I believe (but don't quote me) there are splines/ridges within the ABS rotor itself. There is a speed sensor on each spindle which is pointed towards the splines. These splines are used to pick up the speed of the tire to determine wheel lockup.

An ABS rotor might fit on a non ABS car, but you should not use a non ABS rotor on an ABS car (the ABS will not work).

As for the SS lines, I have them on my other car and they did improve brake pedal feel. I think the brand was BF Goodridge. As long as the nuts for the brake lines are not stuck, the replacement should be fairly quick. Just make sure you have flare wrenches. And if a nut does get stuck, just torch the nut. It will expand and you should be able to get it off.

Hope this helps.
