2g turbo Automatic questions

What trans fluid do I use in a 2G turbo fwd? I keep reading ATF+4 but can someone verify so I don't blow my trans?

I am not 100 percent sure but I know in a 1g manual its gm synchromesh with it being an automatic and a 2g don't know if it makes a big difference

Yes, atf +4 is what is in my car.

ATF+4 is a chrysler trans product.


EDIT : Thats not ATF +4. it will say right on the bottle if it is.

I have a 96 gst with 206k I have had it since 90k. I have used Castrol ATF +4 and have not had any issues with the trans.

I run royal purple atf! I also add a little slick 50 to keep it all lubed up and seals all from drying. I read royal purple is very good
