Ok so my wastegate runs into the exhaust side of my turbo should I keep it like that or should I run it on its own path ? I see other turboed cars with a 3 inch maybe more small pipe coming from there wastegate mine runs directly into my exhaust should I cut that and redo it on its own path or keep it ??

Depends. Atmosphere dumps can aid in boost control and help prevent boost creep, but are pretty loud. If cops are pissy in you're area, they won't be happy. A recirculated setup is quieter, and unless your making some big power, is fine for stock frame turbos as long as everything else is up to snuff

When you say big power what would that consit of ? Im running about 350hp right now on about 18lbs of boost 60mm turbo.
How much louder will it make my car like alot louder ? I have a stright pipe on it now and it's only loud at wot turbo spool is louder then the exhaust some times. Just wanna know what would be better pretty much like would it run better with the wastegate open (atmosphere) I beleieve you called it or keep it how it is ?

I have an atmosphere dump. If you're straight piped with no cat its not going to really be any louder, but YOU will hear it a lot more since its dumping in front of you. Its really loud though sometimes I wish it was quieter. You cant hear the turbo so much when it opens up. Question is, are you having boost problems? If you aren't just leave it alone. Its only going to cost more. My dump pipe is only an inch and a quarter. Most aren't much bigger.

Every atmosphere dump I've heard is pretty shattering. I don't really mind it but on a turbo your size, id say it's not worth it unless your current setup isn't performing well.

If u just want the sound or flames, knock yourself out. Just remember it will paint a target on you for cops to pick on, as well on most likely not passing a smog test depending on location

Yeah then I'm more then likly just gonna keep it how it is then cuz I'm not having any turbo problems at all just wondering if it mattered and what the difference was thanks for the help for sure
