1G 2g trans leaking at axle seal

Have had a leak on passenger side of trans. Pulled axle and replacing passenger side seal. Does this look normal? Anything missing behind seal? 2g awd trans in a 1g awd. Thanks

Looks normal. There is no lip. It's possible to install the new seal too far. Just go slow and make sure it's even and not crooked.

As said above, install until it's flush to the surface of the trans, a hair too deep and it will leak around the axle.
