Hello,

I'm curious if anyone can point me in the right direction on where or what I'm looking for to fix the leak I have on my rear drivers side axle. The shaft itself is fine but the differential where the shaft joins is showing signs of leaking.

I keep thinking I'm lucky with my searches but then find they are referring to the rear hub seals and bearings.

I can't find part numbers or any reference to replacing the inner axle seals for the rear differential.

Thanks in advance for any help or responses.

Drew

I have this like 23yo mitsubishi issued shop manual for 1g dsm's... well its more for 1ga's i will go dig it up and see if it has part numbers in it.. But Im not sure if it'll work for you if you have a 92 you probably have a 4bolt rear diff. But your best bet would be to call down to a local mitsubishi dealership and get the info needed :/ Now for refferences replacing them what do you need? Step by step? Diagrams?

Actually it's a 3 bolt rear end. After posting found a few postings on google search that mentioned that the same seal is used in both rears that is used for the passenger side of an AWD tranny as well. MD707184 is the part number but before I buy want to make sure.

If you have a 3bolt then that is gonna work for you! LOL Nice glad you found that info. You need any other info on the set up?

Funny how the price varies from 4.50 to 30.00 bucks for 1 seal. Pictures all have Mitsu packaging.
