i have a 98 gsx im getting a front mount my friend has a 91 gsx and his SMIC is cracked will my stock side mount work on his 1g or is there any modifications he can make?

He should really get one for a 1g since the pipe locations will not line up and the 2g smic is way worse then the 1g. If he cant afford a new one... which is like 10 dollars on ebay he should get some metal epoxy and seal it up.
