2g Rear Main Seal Houseing Gasket?

i am working on a 1998 gst i would like to know if there is a gasket that goes between the block and the main seal housing or if i should just use silicone thanks

IIRC, there is a gasket.

I looked it up in CAPS and it appears 2G's (7bolt) do not come with a gasket from the factory. The 6 bolt most definitely does, however.

I knew the 6 bolt did, and thought the 7 did too. I should have searched before I took a guess.

It's all good, my original reply was "yes" as well, but I double-checked myself
