2g pulleys making weird sound?

hey guys,
about 4000 miles ago i changed my power steering belt (squeking).
Now my car is squeking again. also when i get to my car today i turn it on and its making a really weird noise. it sounds like something is scrapping on the right side of the engine.
also the power steering started after a burn out i did.... maybe that weird nose could be also caused by the burnout. any help would be appreciated

Check the harmonic balancer for seperation. If indeed that is the problem, dont drive it again untill it is fixed. It could cost you an engine if it comes completely apart.

It is normal for it to happen over time. The burn out and higher revs might have just accelerated the failure. Consider the harmonic balancer a regular maintenance item.

but what about that sqeeking from the power steering belt? i just changed it could the HB be causing this

Did you check the tension on the belt? Try retensioning the power steering belt and see if it stops squealing. And don't forget to check the harmonic balancer!

Get a spray bottle of water and while the squeaking's going on, give the PS belt a shot. If it shuts up, that was the belt.
Put a chalk mark on the rim of your harmonic balancer, and a mark on the hub. Run it a couple of days and see if they've moved out of index.
