I have stage IV blueprinted and ported engine, valve, cams, crankshaft, etc..., and a Holset HX-40 turbo. But I'm stuck on whether or not staying with my 2G ported manifold or going with tubular.

It is a somewhat daily driven car around town, but on the weekends I'll take it on the track. I heard that being a daily that tubular is bad. My question is your input and how much difference does it my in spooling.

I have used a cheap XS power tube manifold for 2 year with a evo316g and other bolt ons like exhaust etc. with no problems. Depending on your application, tune and how you would like your car to preform on and off track, It is just a decision you have to make.

Sorry for the vague answer but there are more specifics need to be known about your car, like power goals, supporting mods, etc. I would read the turbo education thread in the turbo system tech forum before buying anything. there is a post on a cheap way to check your VE to see if buying a tube manifold would be beneficial for power, or if porting could be a cheaper option. If you haven't read the thread, I highly suggest it.

I like my tube manifold though.

If funds are short, get a ported 2G. Have you looked into FPs new race manifold? There is a huge thread about it on here.

I've look at the new FP race manifold. Doesn't give me info on it. They say it is as good as tubular manifold. Do you know anyone that has it?
