i am rebuilding a 1994 engine and was wondering if i should put in 2g pistons. i hear taht they are higher compresion so would there be any isues with the valves?

The only problem you will run into is getting the rods machined to accept them. Once you do, you are good to go!

im on a tight budget, do you think it is worth it?
it would cause more knock, right? so do you think it is worth the loss of timing advance?

On a budget I'd say no. By the time I was done buying the pistons, rings (I got them 10% over cost), and having the rods machined ($150) I wished I'd have gone with either stock pistons or spent the little bit extra and got a set of aftermarket performance ones. Don't get me wrong, my car runs great and is fast as hell but I don't think the pistons have much to do with it.

Do it. its well worth the wait, I too debated on wether to go 1g or 2g pistons didnt really have much money so it took me long to finish building my engine, but when it was finally done it made me smile, it pulls so much harder especially top end, but the choice is yours...... 2g pistons.
