Okay, So.. the fuel pump is good.. i checked and hooked it up to the wire in the engine bay and she turns on beautifully.

Now, when i turn the key, you do not hear the pump turn on and also we checked for spark and i was not getting any.

All the wires, vaccums and grounds are on correctly.

What can be the issues here. i have a new crankangle sensor and a camangle sensor installed. (i heard this could be the reasons why im not getting fuel or spark)

Solution
It was the Crank Sensor.. im a moron and broke mine, so i bought new one for 70 a while back and when i put it in i overlooked it and put it on upside down.. haha =X

put it in right and wired it up and she cranked right over. sounds amazing..

I have a oil leak out of oil pump.. where the castle plug was, cracked the front case ..
any tips on putting it back on?
I think in order for it to not be the ECU, then it would have to be two different things.. Like that power transistor and CAS. or coil and CAS. the CAS tells the injectors when to fire. Power transistor just relays signal to the coil.
I want to tell you that it's likely the ECU though.

If your stock boost gauge doesn't go to 0 and give you a 5 second CEL with the key ON. then yea, you'll need the ECM pictured in G.
For whatever purposes, the common accepted term it ECU.
Being a spyder it ight be tough to find one in the market place for less than $100.. but you might get lucky.

well, i been buying off this kid with a green 97 GST.. hes been parting out his car..
can i take his ecu and put it in mine?

and if so, how do i go about getting to it, and is it just plug in wires? like i just unplug them out of it and unbolt and take it off?

Well it's really easy to get to with a bit of practice.
You'll need to take off both side trim carpet pieces in the center up there. The ECU will be bolted to the metal frame in there and you will have to unbolt it and get it out, you may have to get rid of another piece here and there to get it done, you'll find out. It's not so difficult. And there are three plugs on the back of it, on a 1g anyways, might only be 2 on a 2g. The plugs are self explanatory with a tab to push down and pull. There is in all around 100 wires going to it. the plugs are a bit tough to get out. just pull firmly.
and his ECU ought to pop right in. it wouldn't be to difficult to see if popping that in would solve the issue before buying it.
but like I said, if there is no CEL and the boost gauge doesn't go to 0, then it is for sure the ECU.

With those recently being replaced... it is possible wiring got plugged in improperly.

I say this, cause on my 2ga talon the CAS plug and the AC plug are the same plug, infact the plug on the CAS has a green rubber in it, and the wiring harness has a green plug. That green plug is for the AC, the shorter plug with orange in it plugs into the green CAS plug.

Also, the fuel pump does not turn on with the acc. My car will start and run for almost 3 seconds without starting the pump. 1g do start with acc, I thought my pump was not working, and it would just not right away.

But your no spark issue will also be caused by the CAS plug not being plugged in, I had no spark or fuel when those where switched

A '98 has the CAS on the pass side of the head kind of like a 1g, not like a 95-96.

If your not getting fuel or spark sounds like a crank sensor problem. When you get back into the car, check the ecu by doing what these guys said looking for the Check engine light coming on and also check if the light stays on might be throwing a code.

Yah, and the plugs are different as well?? I knew it was a different CAS but I didnt know if it used the same plug or not..

Has the car ran since the CAS and Crank angle sensor were replace? Im thinking one of those are malfunctioning or having a minor install problem?
