OK guys,
I just installed a new Pioneer head unit. I wanted to run this with my stock amp under the seat (97 Spyder GST).
Can someone explain, why there are speaker wires (front and rears) connecting to the stock head unit? Shouldn't all speaker wires come from the amp under the seat? What does the stock amp power?
When I bought the head unit, I also got the "Peripheral MITAH OEM Interface adapter" that should connect to the stock DIN amp cable and the RCA connect into my new head unit, correct? (i hooked up the remote wire as well). I did that and don't notice any difference. I actually disconnected the interface adapter and didn't notice any difference at all. I also noticed that it's kinda tuff to mate the stock DIN connector to the Interface adapter. Does anyone have any experience with this "Peripheral MITAH OEM adapter"??
I also noticed that the rear speakers seem to outpower the front door speakers and I can really even hear the dash (tweeters). Any ideas on why this is?
Thanks for your help guys
Mark
