i am a mechanic and i do some work on dsms on the side for money, a young kid brought me a 95 gst 5 speed and the car runs very rich and if you rev it up it pops and sputters and poor out black smoke and has a hard time getting over 4k rpm. i pulled wires to test if it was a misfire(didn't think so but just incase) and it is firing on all four cylinders.
so i hook up a datalogger and my front o2 sits at .08 volts rear sits at 1.23 volts neither move more than .01 volts and very rarely. throttle position is at 96-100% all the time(at idle or full throttle) and standing on the throttle doesn't affect it its just random. air flow rate sits at 0 lbs per minute, intake are temp is -40(its about 75 ambient temp here now), coolant temp just sat way below what it was. the factory boost gauge sits all the way down no matter what but the tach works.
well i see alot of duct tape, electrical tape and heat shrink tubing on the harness for the ecu. the heat shrink has exposed silver wire inside of it(i was thinking the harness was copper wire mostly). do you guys think i should individually repair the harness wires or get a set of ecu connectors and just rewire it all?
ground 13 was 0.1 ohms and 26 was 6.7 ohms, and there are exposed wires and a few not connected to anything
