Hey guys for some reason I having a really hard time tuning my car:( I very close to just throwin the stock stuff back on. Im going to give it one more try then thats it! Okay this is whats goin on!
1. My low fuel trims dont change from 81.2 unless I go -24 on the safcWTF . Then it will come to about 105-114. But the car doesnt sound or rev right when I do this. To get the car to idle right and rev right I have to go +5 on the safc? I dont get it, why would the car run better if I adding more fuel and the logger is reading 81.2
Maybe I have a misunderstanding about the safc. Goin North on the safc is adding fuel right and going south is takin away?
thanks

550's are not quite enough for a 2g mass.
so you need to add a bit of fuel.

it dont remember the exact numbers, but a 2g mass flows like 30% more, and 550's are only like 20% more than the 450's

Rep point given, thanks:rocks:
Wow I thought the car would run rich! So when I want to add fuel on the safc I go north of the bar? And to take away I go south?
thanks

You will need to richen it a fair amount for idle (approx +8-10% @ 1k rpm point) but rpm above that you will be around 0% give or take some. The 2g mas flows enough to closely compensate for the 550's but at idle, the mas flows alot more than stock, its almost like having a fully hacked 1g mas.

More input guys and I will give more rep points:rocks: I have to wait to give you some??

Okay now what I dont understand is the when I add fuel the low trims go down to 81% like the car is runing rich when its not(no gas out tial pipe). In order to get my trims around 110 I have to subract like -24WTF

After you make a fuel change, generally you have to drive around a little at full operating temp before the trims level off. Give it a little while to stabalize before you retune. And you are shooting for 100%, nothing above or below. If you get within 8%(92%-108%) you will be just fine. You just have to give it time after you adjust before you get an accurate reading. You will also need a good working o2 sensor in order to get accurate fuel trims. If yours is older than 50k miles, I would replace it. Also, the lft isnt a major concern when tuning. Its the hft thats important. If you can tune the lt settings to the point where it idles well and doesnt surge, buck, or puff black smoke, I wouldnt worry too much about it.

Okay, the reason why I was worrying so much about the lft is because the car is put up for the winter. Its only going to be at idle. My o2 sensor is brand new!. Now on the other hand my ftm are at 91. So I guess Im going to just keep the 1rpm mark at +8

I have a 2g mas with Evo 8 550's, and my low trim is at 99% with my safc set at -9 at 1000rpm and idles very smooth.
