Yep the splicing is same as mine. With the exception that mine is not hacked at all. That might be your culprit.

So lets say I might go with a 3" gm maf. Would I have to buy a new uicp (mine is brand new)? Or, would I just have to buy the intake pipe from dejon for the gm maf?

Whats the better spot to put it? intake pipe or uicp pipe? I wouldnt mind venting my bov to the atmosphere.

Its like $90 for a used 2gmas and it might be bad. I can pick up a gm maf on ebay for $55 and buy a used translator cheaper then spending the $200 on a new one.

so tell me what you guys think. I do have the mods for a gm maf. 780cc injectors, afc-2, 255hp fp with rewire, and a afpr.

UICP is the best spot for it, especially if you want to vent. If you've already got a hard uicp like i do, your going to have to chop the pipe right before the TB elbow and then bead the edge.

You know I just sold my 3" MAF and Translator and installed the 2g maf. The MAFT was a pita to tune with. Every time I got in the car the trims would drastically change depending on the weather. Since I put the 2g maf in the trims have stabilized and the car is much more enjoyable to drive. But this was in my car. All cars are different and mine just didn't like the GM MAF, besides, if she wants something more then I will shoot for the EVO MAF next.

x2. This could be your problem. I have "heard" of people doing this and not having a problem. Way back when, I was advised by a hotshot DSM builder that I should not do this with the 2g (but not for the 1g mas). I'm stubborn and curious so I did it anyway. Caused me lot's of problems. Idle, A/F, rpm's. Tried to tune out but basically couldn't do it. I put another un hacked 2g on and solved the problem.

I was just wondering, Where exactly does the mas translator plug into at? does it plug intot the original 1g mas plug on the wire harness? If so mines cut off........ and where does it tap into at? Just won a translator and 3"maf plus 2 silicone couplers off ebay for $205

Also found out something about the 2g mas I have. When I was on vacation most off my parts were in the garage. My ### came over and tuned up his pos galant. Well he noticed the mas sensors were the same looking, so he took the one i had and I have his. damn people, cant even trust family anymore.

anyways i dont care. I just got an upgrade anyways. I hope it throws his air/fuel raio off and screws up his car
