No, a MAFT is used with a GM MAS. If you don't have an SAFC or a logger then you can't really put on a 2g MAS, since it reads about 20% lower airflow than a stock 1g MAS.

However, if you switched to 550cc inj, then you could probably get away with it since that is nearly the same compensation that you would need to make with an SAFC.

It is still not the best thing to do without a logger and a way to compensate for the airflow reading, so you would be shooting from the hip, so to speak.

The 550s are nearly a direct compensation for the reduced airflow counts that the 2g MAS makes. You will still want to pull some airflow b/c of how rich the stock AFR is, but you won't need the ~20% across the board change that would be needed on a 1G MAS.
 
Thats close enough. It might actually be easier to tune since the inj deadtime is lower than stock.

I am not familiar with SAFC/logger tuning, but I assume you watch your fuel trims at idle and cruise to make sure that you have the correct compensation, then you go to WOT tuning and watch frt O2 volts and knock, and pull airflow until you see about .90-.94volts and zero knock. Its easier with a WB where you can target an exact AFR like 11:1 for pump gas. Using frt O2 volts work fair enough as long as the sensor is a Denso or NGK (read *not Bosch*) and the O2 sensor wiring isn't all fubared.
