Do you have to buy an aftermarket inlet pipe to put a 2G mas on a 1G or can you use the stock 2G inlet pipe?

On a side note, if you didnt want to use the 1g intake you would have to buy an aftermarket unit. I believe the 2g stock intake wont work.
Yes it WILL work. Its a PITA, but it will fit. You have to work the intake on with a screw driverChvyKc said:I didn't know that you could use the stock 1G inlet pipe. I thought that the 2G MAS was to big, but if you can then that is awesome. I am going to try it for sure.

Why spend money on a 2g inlet pipe? I believe the part of the intake that connects to the turbo is smaller on the 2g than the 1g.ChvyKc said:That's what I was originally asking in this post. I didn't know if you could use a stock 2G inlet pipe. I am eventually going to go with an upgraded one as well, but I just want to get it on there so I can actually tune the car right and have more top-end power. I can tell that I am overflowing that stock MAS above 4500 RPM's.

I have bought a lot of products from Extreme, but I have never bought something that was actually produced by them. So far, they have been great to deal with and they usually get stuff shipped to me within a day since I live so close. Does anybody have the Extreme inlet pipe on their car???

I see you made it workChvyKc said:The stock 1G inlet pipe works like a charm. It's a little hard to get on there, but if you have somebody to hold the sensor and the inlet pipe while you stretch the pipe around the sensor you can eventually get it on there.
Sensor made a huge difference also. I put a hurting on a buddy of mine with an LS1 camaro, he didn't catch me till the top of third.
Just to think, you were going to spend over 140 for a intake. I rotated mines a bit so the mas points to the side.dsmsucks said:I see you made it workJust to think, you were going to spend over 140 for a intake. I rotated mines a bit so the mas points to the side.
