2G Manifold on my 1G

I bought a Pacesetter Tubular Manifold for my 92 talon but im being told to get rid of it an get a 2G Manifold an have it ported so now im w9ndering if anyone has a 2G Manifold they'd be selling.. Is it a really good up grade from the pacesetter?

the headers will flow more especially on top end but they will be more prone to cracking and underhood temps will be higher. But they come with a 3 year warranty and its not too bad getting them off so its headers for life if they keep cracking, I went with the Pacesetter ceramic coated version with an evo3 16g and tubular 02 housing from 122 performance. waiting to get the turbo to bolt it all up

ya but i bought it used so i dont have any recipts so warranties are most likely no use to mine.. i was thinking of getting a 2G Manifold an my friend will port that along w/ my o2 housing.. i dont really wnt a 2g mani cause (i kno this will sound dumb) but it looks stock.. but if its better in the long run ill do it, i want to get into the low 12s an ive seen dsms run 10s on a ported 2g mani.. i dunno.. what would u do? only reason i bought the header was cause it 1-didnt have cracks like stock one an 2-looks amazing

my opinion? stay away from pacesetter. there's been way too many horror stories with them. BUT, if you can bolt it up and have no leaks then i'm sure it'll be beneficial. I for one wouldn't even try it because i'd rather drop the mani once, rather than twice or more times.

and you're right.. 2g ported mani will take you well past your goals... so why not go with the proven?

well i do have a major exhaust leak now.. so today after work im going to pick my 2g mani up for 75 bucks at a recycliing yard then have it fully ported for 15 bucks threw a friend then im gonna get a 2g o2 housin an have that ported by him also for 15 bucks bu the o2 housin is like 50 i think.. cant wait to get at least my manifold on this exhaust leak is annoying me..
