I purchased a 2G MAF and Ingen intake pipe, I have the oval coupler for the connection but I was wondering if there is a better option for camping them together than traditional clamps as I have read that they can destroy the silicone.

I dont see how it can rip if you put it on once and leave it. Its not going to be moving back and forth. Itll leave an indentation, thats about it.

Yeah they make better hose clamps, that wont leave little holes in your silicone. But they are much more expensive "not unaffordable" and they wont eat up your piping everytime you go to take it off and put it back on..

Yeah sorry, should have made it clearer. I was thinking of the cheese grater effect.

Nherron, thank you for the links, just ordered some of the solid worm clamps!

While you're at it, you could get some nice spring clamps for the pressure side!

IDEAL® Flex-Gear HD® Clamps 41 Series

That's what's on semis' and semis' use the premo silicone couplers so these clamps are very nice to use. Plus the 41 series has a 3/8" head which is slightly smaller than 10mm so your 10mm wrench/socket that you SHOULD HAVE AT ALL TIMES (as a DSMer') will work for the couplers too. Instead of the lonely 5/16" that isn't nearly as common.
