2g maf intake on 1G...trouble

Ok... so i've read this VERY well made article on the ebay intake http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=237864 and since i decided to go 2g maf i decided to get one. Has anyone out there ever installed one of these on their 1g car, cause i can't make it fit for the life of me (about 3 inches too long). Would really appreciate some help (and i REALLY hope i'm not stuck with a nice shinny paperweight) Thanks.

Ive never heard of using one of those on a 1g. I used a stock 2g pipe and it fit fine, only the bov tube does not line up to our bov at all and the recirculation tube has two 90* angles in it but it works.

You could have to big of an airfilter and a smaller one might help. You could cut 3 inch's of the pipe off also. Anyways its not going to fit that great, expecailly the bov recir. I just bought a dejon 1g to 2g pipe and cant wait to get the crappy stock 2g intake out.

Do you think its made out of aluminum? You think there is a way i can put a bigger bend in it? It just looks like its not bent enought, too streached out... do you think the extra degrees of bend might block too much airflow? Any idea on how to bend it?
