I don't get it...you are supposed to use a coupler that allows 3 inch intake to go around a 2g MAF because it is supposed to be too big.

If that is the case, why does the Fernco part number listed below say 3" to 3"?

I have a pretty 3 intake tube that I don't want to lose.

Thanks

That Fernco coupler in the above pic is designed to go on PVC pipe, which is not measured by the outside diameter, and a 3" pvc pipe is actually 4" on the outside, for reasons I wont get into right now. The 2G maf is eliptical on the side that hooks to the coupler, which is why the coupler appears to be larger on the side attached to the maf in the pic. If youre wanting to keep the 3" intake, go to Home Depot, and there is a coupler there that is cheap and will work with the 2G maf on a 3" intake, Ive done it before, just dont remember the part number for the coupler, only that the coupler is not made by Fernco, but can be found in that section of the store. I do believe it was a 2.5 to 3", sounds wierd, but youve got to keep in mind that youre dealing with PVC pipe sizes, not the usual measurements you would use when purchasing a silicone coupler and the like. Just bring your intake and 2G maf with you and make sure the coupler fits and off you go. I will see if I can find my old coupler and give you a part number when I get home.

Thanks for being so thorough. This was exactly what I was looking for.
