GM 3 inch MAF

You can either use the GM 3" or the 3.5" MAF. As for the "swoosh" you are talking I am not sure if you are just talking about being able to hear the turbo more, or the BOV. When you switch over to hard piping if you don't already have them, then that will alow you to hear the turbo more.

I guess if you are looking for it to make a noise, you must be talking about the BOV, which this part will have nothing to do with.

Yes (partly), you will need:

GM MAF (3" or 3-1/2")
Upper pipe(s) setup for above
Associated couplers
Hook it up.

This setup will allow your BOV to "vent to atmosphere".
