3" gm maf

Im installing a 3"gm maf and translator and I know the 4 nipples on the throttle body are sappost to be capped off, but what about on the other side of those hoses am i sappost to plug where they go as well??? thanks

i would guess hes saying you dont have to cap them off, and ive looked into this mod, somewhat, and i havent heard of anything you would have to do to the throttle body,...capping stuff off on your throttle body just sounds like a bad idea.... especially if its that electric wire thats on the front part by that part they call the tbs,... that you wouldnt want to cap off, ever...

when installing a MAF you do not change anything onthe throttle body. the lines there are for the EGR system, and I wouldnt suggest removing that.

Why not remove emissions?
The lines from the throttle body go to the solenoids by the
master cylinder. The rubber tubing from the throttle body
goes to some steel lines on the left backside of the intake manifold
and then ruber tubing continues from the right side of the mani to the solenoids.

I don't think emissions has ANYTHING whatsoever to do with
a MAF install though... but if you want to get rid of emissions
prepare to run seasonal tags.


I removed my emissions crap, charcoal canister and all.
