Ok so I am in the process of swapping my 2G M/T Talon to a Auto, and through out the whole way I have not been able to find much information on what I need to swap and what I can keep. So here is what I have come up with so far as far as parts needed:

-A/T Transmission (duh)
-Transfercase from A/T DSM, 1.090 for 95-96 or 1.074 for 97-99
-Rear Differential from A/T 2G (diff gear ratio)
-Shifter+Cable from 2G DSM

-Drivers side solid axle with bracket to engine block? I have heard this is different and the part #'s are different but I have yet to see it to be sure.

-Some way to shift, the easiest way is to get a IPT shift Box and control it yourelf. If you want to make things difficult you could try finding a TCU and Transmission Wiring Harness

Ill keep updating as I get further with my swap.

I did a swap from a/t to m/t. I have allot of parts laying around, like a TCU, shift cable pedals, etc. I also have the mount shoe, if they are the same between AWD and FWD. So PM me if your interested. But the axles are interchangable and you will need a transmission cooler. The mount itself is the same, the bracket on the back side of the trannys are different. The speedo gear for the sending unit is different, you just un snap the ring and it slides out to switch it. The reverse light, you will have to rig either a switch or get the harness.

That's all I can think of right now. Just thought I would try and help you out on some info.

I just found some interesting information regarding Automatic Transfer cases.
All transfer cases from 1991 to 1996 use the 1.090 gear ratio where as the 1997 to 1999 transfer cases use the 1.074 gear ratio, I just wanted to point this out because everywhere else on the internet says that all 2g's are the same.

Sooo what this means is that you have to match up the center diff to whatever transfer case you use. ie: 91-96 use 91-96 t-case or 97-99 use 97-99 t-case.
