Tho other day i found a 2g knock sensor laying in my garage and i though "I know this one works better" and i think the connectors are the same, so my question: Anybody stuck one in and run it? Dose it work?

It won't work. Just buy a 1G sensor, it's like $60.00 from any auto parts store.

While the 2G knock sensor is generally regarded as superior to the 1G knock sensor in terms of sensing ability and its ability to reject phantom knock, its output range is different and will not work in a 1G.
