What parts are NEEDED to install an evo3 16g on a 2g. I was gonna just grab turbochargers.com's install kit, but idk if i really all those parts or not. I'm also installing the SSAC fmic at the same time if that matters any.

From my experience with installing 16g style turbos in 2g's I would get the slowboyracing 2g install kit. It does require you to space out the holes for the oil return line but provides a better seal. The turbo chargers oil return line always leaks after a couple of miles. I have installed many 2g install kits and the slowboy kit always comes out on top. Plus you get a full intercooler lower pipe. I see you are using the ssac intercooler kit so you could use that tripleply lower pipe from the slowboy 2g install kit to connect to the intercooler kit since the ssac kit is made for the t25.

For the turbo, you need the following:

- turbo to exhaust manifold gasket
- turbo to O2 sensor housing gasket
- J-pipe (one that expands to 2" to match the IC piping)
- oil supply line
- oil return line gaskets
- a small length of 3/8" fuel line

To reuse the water lines, put the front one on the back and the back one on the front, and cut off the mounting brackets. You'll have to bend them a little to get the correct angles. Use the 3/8" fuel line in place of the front (I believe) rubber hose, as the stock one is too short. You can reuse the copper crush washers on the water lines, but they're a dollar a piece, so it's not exactly breaking the bank to get new ones.

You'll need to file the holes in the oil return line to match the width of the MHI center section.

If you're looking for an "a la carte" type place, try RRE. I got about everthing from them except for the J-pipe (theirs expands to 2.25")

For the intercooler, you'll need to get these parts:

- 2.5" straight silicone coupler (opt for a longer one, 4" should do)
- 2.5" T-bolt clamps (2) - the kit was short a coupler

The lower piping for the IC is too long to use with a 16G J-pipe. I was able to make it work by cutting roughly an inch off the end of the pipe with the 2" neckdown and using a 90* silicone coupler to connect it directly to the J-pipe. Depending on the J-pipe you pick up (I have a Buschur), you may need to trim the end of this as well. Just make sure to get a bead put back around any pipes you cut so the couplers stay put. I didn't use the 90* pipe bend that came with the kit. If you need to see pics of what I'm talking about, send me a PM and I'll get them to you. Also, check out the how-to tech article if you haven't already. http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=219119

Good luck!

If I'm forgetting anything absolutely necessary, anyone can throw it out there, but this should be a good bare essentials list.

Well Slo TSI gave you the answer as to why I asked you what inter cooler kit you were getting . I was making sure you if your pipes where not going to line up I could point you to a kit that would work. If you unbolt tht oil return line from the oil pan make sure you get the 6mm crush washer that go on the oil pan bolts are you will end up with oil leaking past the threads. Later and Good luck with the install.

You do not have to switch the water lines around. On the rear line you have to cut the mounting bracket and bend the line up alittle to line up and on the front you have to bend the line alittle but don't cut the mounting bracket cause it is reused.
