Am i right that a 16g turbo install kit for a for a 2Gen eclipse will work with a 14b turbo?
I am geting a 14b and i am thinking about ordering the kit off of turbochargers.com because it is cheaper than every one else. Has any one had any trouble with the kit from Turbochargers.com?
Thanks Nick

The 2G install kit for a 16G will work on a 14B. The 14B and 16G belong to the same family of turbo's (TDO5H) and are externally identical as far as dimensions and mounting points/locations.

Ok thanks for the fast responce. Now any body owned the kit from turbocharger.com? Tell me what you think of it.
Thanks Nick

I actually got this in case of warranty problems. The kit is pretty nice, and here are some tips for you:

1. Be absolutely certain to tighten the connections for the oil return line tightly, and use whatever means necessary to ensure a seal.
2. When cutting the oil return line..tube thing, do not cut it too much like I did because it will screw you! :D
3. The 90 degree fitting that goes into the oil filter housing did not screw on correctly for me, it would always hit something so I reused the one I had before and everything was fine. So, you may have some problems with that.
4. Obviously, the J-pipe included will not work if you have a FMIC.

I was looking at this too. Does anyone have experience with this? Also i have a question. If i have a side mount and plan on getting a front mount eventually what will i need. The j pipe works on sidemount, what do i do to make it work with front mount?

They (turbochargers.com) seem to have some nice products, they have a EVOIII 16G kit which includes the exhaust manifold and install kit. Does anyone have any firsthand experience with this?

I cut it off at a section then couplered it to a 90* bent pipe that fit on top of the front engine mount to route it to the driver side. It's actually a huge pain, so if it's possible I would just buy another j-pipe at that point that angles towards the driver side instead of the passenger side.

Ive heard u can flip some pipe upside down or something? Youre saying you just got a 90 degree pipe that went back to the jpipe? Is there any other way? And they sell j pipes that angle towards the drivers side?

I'm not sure what this flipping of the pipe is, but I don't think that'd work. The 90* pipe didn't go back to the j-pipe, but this picture might clear things up for you.

They do sell pipes that angle towards the drivers side, certain vendors do for sure. Who exactly does though I can't remember or find for the life of me, but someone else may chime in. If you do choose it to do it my way, be sure to bead or somehow add extra security to your pipes, or use a long coupler because I'm currently experiencing problems with pipes blowing off even with t-bolt clamps.

I wouldnt buy the turbochargers.com kit if i were you. They have phenomenal prices by comparison to everyone else but I had to replace quite a few fittings and make a better oil return line out of half theirs and half the stock one. If you are cool with the possibility of needing to find new fittings and a leaky oil return line then go with their kit.

I used that install kit and it worked fine for me, although if you do get a FMIC the j-pipe issue I talked about above will still be a big pain in the ass.
