So after installing my 1G bov, and performing the bcs mod I noticed a ticking noise around 2k rpm and up. If you listen close it sounds like it is coming from the left top side of the valve cover. I read about lifter tick, but this seems different. It's only at 2k and up rpm and only under acceleration. I did an oil change and used engine restore, made no difference. Car still runs perfect. Any ideas?

So it must be safe to assume it is lifter tick? I don't know what else it could be.

Revised lifters are always a good idea, but it may be warning symptoms of a failing rod bearing. I'd pull the oil pan and check.

Honestly, if you're vehicle was not making this "ticking" you describe (prior to your BOV installation), I would remove it and return to original configuration. This is for testing purposes. If your car no longer "ticks" that you can at least use process of elimination to hunt down the cause. If it still continues to "tick" then as stated above, it may be signs of another problem.
Good Luck
