I can't find any information on this, under the dash there is a standalone fuse, it has a 7.5 amp fuse in it.

I'm pointing to it here with needle nose pliers, it's located above the clutch pedal by the main interior fuse box.

Mine was and popped again when replaced. I'm currently troubleshooting the cruise control (auto to manual swapped car)

Anyone have any information on what circuits this is for?

It's for cruise control (connector B-82). One side goes through the 10A dedicated fuse #12 (lower left "Radio" fuse in engine fusebox) to the ignition switch for power. Other side goes to Auto-Cruise-ECU pin 20 and to the clock spring to the steering wheel to the cruise control switches.

So if it's popping you most likely have a short to ground in the clock spring (most likely), switches, Auto-Cruise-ECU, or wiring.

Awesome, thank you. It's interesting how mitsubishi did a standalone fuse for that and didn't place it in the fusebox.

I know I had a short to ground from pin 5 on connector B-64 behind the radio when I plugged the clutch switch in and tried cranking it.

That's been addressed, and I am VERY surprised that only one person on this site mentioned it and I had to dig for that information to solve it. You'd think auto to manual swaps are pretty common and most people would want to run cruise or anti-lag.

Hopefully the issue isnt too annoying to dig for and I'll post what I find to hopefully help someone in the future.

So I got more time to diagnose the 7.5 amp fuse holder.

The powe feed side is fine and the fuse under the hood is fine.

Ive confirmed the output side goes to pin 20 on the cruise ecu. I unplugged the cruise ecu connector and I unplugged the connection at the switch and found out there is a short on both sides of the switch, to the fuse and to the cruise ecu.

Found the line diagram, for someone in the future as well.

Did you unplug B-40? If so and you still have short to ground on both sides of the auto-cruise control switch, then the short is in the clock spring, auto-cruise control switch, or their wiring.

Yes, the short is on the fuse and cc ecu wiring side of B40, I wish it was the clockspring side. That would be much easier to diagnose.

So on both the input and output of the switch I'm getting continuity to ground.

Hopefully I can find both the problems

You un-plug B-40 and you still have a short to ground on both sides of the switch? You're actually measuring right on the switch's pins 1 and 2 to ground? Then un-plug the switch and measure again to see if the short is in the switch or the clock spring.
