So I posted on the welcome forum and was told to move here LOL but here is my problem, I was looking for the diagram for the interior fuse box and you guys helped right away with that and I thank u but mine is different somehow because when I put the fuse in the right location to the pic my car started to idle high then drop before 2000rpm.

This as never happened before I touched the fuses so I'm ask again does anyone have a pic of there fuse box cover and fuses in there 1996 GST

Original thread, for reference: Help me

From the OP's original thread (link added to post #1 here), it was the fuse for the Anti-Theft system -- his vehicle had a 25A fuse where it should have been a 10A.

You should check to see if that 10A Anti-Theft fuse, that used to be a 25A, is now blown. If so, you have something drawing way to much current through it - either a short or extra load that should not be there (load the previous owner may have added so he increased it to 25A which is dangerous since the wires only handle 10A safely). Or the theft alarm horn relay has a short (shown here under dash drivers side: https://www.dsmtuners.com/attachments/power-window-bypass-jumper-2g-jpg.107898/). Try unplugging it to see if it's the problem.

Ty guys I found out i had a 100a fuse blown under the hood and got it fixed help out a lot it was the alternator fuse running good now but in regards to that 25 fuse I put the 10 in but the previous owner had the power for my air/fuel , pyrometer and boost gauges connected to a switch that was taped in to that fuse idk if I could tap in to another fuse to get power to that safely

The problem with taping into that 25A fuse as you are doing is that all the normal loads on that fuse will also then be fused at 25A which the car's wiring is not rated for. So if there's a short on one of those it will allow up to 25A before the fuse will blow. So if the short only allows 24A the fuse won't blow and a fire will result.

You should still use the 10A fuse there and if it works with your other stuff you're good. It will probably work since the theft alarm rarely goes off. If it blows, switch to some other fuse but NEVER increase a fuse's value (the wiring isn't large enough to handle higher current - all car makers are very strict with this).
