2G fuel pump question

okay does anyone know if the stock 2G fuel pump for a GST or GSX will fit on a 2G GS? i have looked around on here but have found everything but. i have looked at pumps on extremepsi.com and can't see any diff. says there the same part. i just need the pump and i dont have any major mods and want to stay with the stock but i don't wanna shell out 200 bucks for a new pump, then have to upgrade when i start modding. i have seen alot of stock 2g GST and GSX pumps on here for cheap, thats why i ask. thanks for any help.

You can buy a brand new pump shipped to your door for around $90 on ebay. I'd say buy a brand new one, because you DO NOT want to buy a used one and have it fail on you. If it does, your motor will go along with it.. So look at it as a insurance type thing.

true new is the way to go. but it still doesn't answer the question. how whould a failed pump take out a motor, wouldn't it have take out my motor the first time it happened? i appreciate the advice though. i'll keep searchin got be on here some were.

A failed fuel pump would cause to you to run lean for a split second, but not long enough to destory a motor. Once the gas stops making it into the combustion chamber there is nothing to ignite, therefore the car ceases to run.

yeah thats what i thought, so does anyone know if the stock 2G GSX or GST fuel pump will fit a 95 GS just the pump not the whole thing. i know there a diffrent fittings on the gsx and gst but all the fuel pumps i have looked at look the same for both turbo's and non-turbo eclipse 95-99
