ok, probably stupid question, but im new to doing this stuff. my fuel pump is going out on my car and im going to replace it. i figure since im building the car anyways, i can upgrade as i go. ive decided to get the walbro 255lph fuel pump. now heres my question, do i need anything else to install this without damaging my car? im a completely stock 95 talon esi. any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

You will need an afpr. Search the forums for about a thousand threads on why you should do this.

Their will be some problem with just throwing in a big pump like that, i would say that you will likely over run your stock injectors, because your fpr can't handle that psi.

You need to ask yourself where you want to go with this car, what do you want to build it to do. And also what kinda doe are you willing to dish??

But if you are planning on just throwing in a 255 walbro to replace you stock fuel pump for whatever reason, im against it. you will need to be able to adjust fuel pressure, and possiably an safc 2. To bring everything back to a stock level to make your car run right with that performance pump.

You will not need aftermarket injectors or an safc2 to use a Walbro 255.

Nor will you need an AFPR to run a big pump on a 2gnt. Our FPR's don't overrun like the 4g63's FPRs do.

Consider a fuel pump rewire while you are at it.

Yes you can use the Walbro 255lph pump on your 420a without having to change anything else. Don't think you will get any extra power doing this though. Also, I know for a fact this question has been asked many times in the past. Try a search next time before making a new thread.

thanks alot guys. i know this has been asked a million times over, its just my internet crashes like every 3 minutes so i dont have time to do the searches. i pretty much have to fly before my connection is lost.
