2g Fuel Pressure Regulator ?

I am looking on eBay for a FPR for my 6 Bolt swapped 95 GST with a 14b since I am already getting fuel cut on the stock system. I already have the Walbro 255 and wiring kit ordered but what I was wondering is, Is there really that much of a difference in brands of regulator and is there anything to avoid for good reason ? I know I am being kind of cheap here but no point in dropping a couple hundred on a name brand IF something like a $25 OBX or something is just as good.

And yes I did search and came up with no real answer.

If you want to keep your engine. Buy reputable brands when it comes to vital parts.

OBX strut tower brace=no big deal

Just buy a used brand name AFPR (Aeromotive or Fuel Lab) from E-bay. I found my Mini-Fuel Lab regulator on there for $85 shipped.

There was not much else on there besides the actual OBX that looked like crap and I was not going to touch.

Just buy a used brand name one if you can't dish the cash for a new one. You could possibly get away with a no-name but you'll have to check it meticulously to make sure everything is working as it should as they aren't proven.

I would get an aeromotive fpr. Off brand will fail very fast

If I could find a used one on here or there that takes pay pal or plastic I would have already ordered it.

I have to some what disagree, i also have been in the same situation, do i spend the big money for the name or are there good parts for cheap, after a ton of research and buying a few different things to actually compare i can tell you this for sure. There are very few actual maufactures of after market car parts and most of them are from japan or china, it seams like there are tons because a lot of people take the same parts and just rebox them and call them there own. So you may buy a part with no name and pay $20 and than the same part could be sold by other people for a lot more(i am not going to call any companies out, i understand that every one need to eat). This point is very different with things like turbos and other major parts, but do some of your own research and i think you will find what im saying is very true.

Oh and i forogt to metion i am the general manager of a new car dealership and i had my parts manager look into alot of this stuff for me, we have the ability to find out the truth about where parts come from and who is actually making them.

The next question I had since we are here is, Would I need the 1g or 2g kit being 6 bolt swapped ? I figure the major difference would be the feed line but I can't help but think I am overlooking something.

If you order a uviversal kit, it will not fit,you will have to order a fuel rail adapter seperate. I will give you the link for some good cheap parts that will get you all set and they will not fail in a month. I have used these same regulators on other types of motors with alot of fuel pressure and NEVER had one problem.
