2g foglight install

Quick question; do you need to remove the entire front bumper to remove/install foglights on a 2gB?

I have about 3 cars in the way of the garage. I wanna swap mine tonight (got new OEM ones, old ones were cracked) but if the entire bumper needs to be removed........ill just wait until tomorrow . Dont want to move a bunch of cars only to find out not enough time tonight to get it done.

You don't need to but it makes it easier.

No, you dont need to remove the bumper. Just remove the plastic cover and you will see that the fogs are held in with one screw. Make sure to use some pb blaster on the screw or it will strip, and use the correct bit (#3 philips).

No, you can get them out without removing the front bumper.

sweet, i thought i remembered they had like 3 bolts that held the fog light assy in place, but last time I did this i had the bumper off doing a fmic install.

you can without removing the bumper, but removing the bumper will make the job easier and more comfortable...

The three bolts hold the fog light mounting bracket to the frame, the fog light itself is held onto the this bracket with one screw. If your just swapping the fogs you will only need to remove the one screw, and it can easily be done with the bumper on. If you need to remove the bracket it would be easier with the bumper off.
