Heya,

When hooking up the stock rubber intake to the Evo III, am I supposed to still use the rubber ring? It was too loose without the ring, but with the ring on the turbo, I had to heat the intake pipe to make it fit.

Also, was I supposed to put sealant on the turbo, exhaust, or O2 gaskets?

Thanks!

No you do not need sealent for those gaskets. As for the the ring on the turbo I would recommend it so you do not have any possible leaks. You even said it was loose, so why risk it? ;)

If you can i would keep the ring on. No you dont need sealant on the gaskets, unless you have no gaskets.

Woah thanks for the quick replies! I was wondering because the other day I read a thread on here where someone's turbo sucked in the rubber ring! OMG

If the turbo sucked in the o-ring then it definatly was not installed properly. It was probably on the edge of the inlet and then it was sucked in.
