Hey guys my motor threw a rod the other night and am now looking for
A motor for it. My question is can i put a n/a 2.0 in it instead of the turbo 2.0
I cannot find any turbo 2.0s anywhere just the non turbo motors.
will everything work and bolt up?
I know the compression will be higher but i will just run less boost.
my car is all stock except for fmic and injen pipe kit. My car is auto too by the way.

No it won't work, they sit completely backwards and its just not going to work....

Nothing between the 420a and the 4g63t is really interchangeable. It's been answered plenty of time. There is a search button :thumb:

How much are you looking to spend on an engine? I believe it would be more work than it is worth to swap over to an NA engine than you imagine. I would look in the classifieds on here, more specifically the part out ads.

If your looking at putting a n/a 4g63 you'll be doing a 6 bolt swap either way and a 6 bolt turbo motor is pretty easy to come by. And also the n/a will work. You'll be running more compression and loosing a few oil ports or whatever there called

It depends on which NT 2.0 your talking about. The NT 2.0 from the 2g is a 420a. It will not fit into your 4g63 engine bay. The 2.0 NT from a 1g is a 4g63 and will bolt into your engine bay. The NT 4g63 has no oil squirters so (in theory) there is more oil pressure for the crank and rods, so it would be a good thing. However, you won't get far with the stock pistons so you'll need to do some work to the internals. If you want a "drop-in" replacement engine, you need to find a turbo 4g63 engine.
